Inner Compass reading
A shadow work reading that names what’s underneath, gently
For the pattern you keep meeting in different situations. The wound that shows up wearing different faces. We look at what sits underneath your circumstances, with astrology, runes, and the psychology woven all the way through. Reflective guidance, never therapy.
A shadow work reading goes underneath the situation to the pattern driving it. Using your birth chart (the Moon, Pluto, Chiron, the 8th and 12th houses), runes pulled for the hidden force at work, and the psychology of Carl Jung’s shadow, we name what has been asking for your attention. You receive honest reflection and one clear place to start. The last move stays yours.

Questions it answers
- Why do I keep meeting the same situation in a different form?
- Why can I give everyone else what I can’t seem to give myself?
- What part of me am I not looking at?
- Why do I understand my patterns but still live inside them?
- Something under the surface keeps asking for attention. What is it?
- How do I stop managing what I feel and actually feel it?
What we read
Your chart
Your Moon (what you need to feel safe and how you learned to protect it), Pluto (what must transform, the underground current), Chiron (the wound that also teaches), and the 8th and 12th houses, where the unseen drives behavior from below. Hard aspects to Saturn or Pluto in your chart are read as tendencies to examine, never verdicts to carry.
The cards
Pulled by hand for your question and filmed, yours to keep. One card in the shadow position shifts its meaning entirely depending on who is holding it: the High Priestess can be deep inner knowing or something you refuse to hear. The Moon can be rich intuition or a fear you have not named. We read which meaning is yours, and why.
The psychology
Jung’s shadow (the parts we disown and keep meeting outside ourselves), Michael Singer’s observer (the self that watches the noise and is not the noise), and Karla McLaren’s frame: feelings are information, not problems to delete. Named gently, without diagnosis.
You receive a written reading in plain language and the video of your cards.
What the runes read
Runes read the hidden forces underneath, the current driving things when the surface reasons do not explain them. The word rune means secret or whisper. When the chart and the cards show a pattern but its root sits out of view, a rune pull names the older force at work: the thing you have not looked at directly. Naming it does not dissolve it. But you cannot meet what you cannot see.
A glimpse of the depth
An anonymized excerpt, shared with the reader’s spirit but none of their details.
Your Chiron sits in the 12th house, and the reading does not skip past it. This tends to show up as a wound that is hard to name because it lives below conscious awareness, a sense of being fundamentally too much or not quite enough that formed early and has been operating quietly ever since. From the outside it looks like giving generously and asking for very little in return. From the inside it can feel like everyone else’s needs are more real than yours.
The rune drawn in the position of the unseen force was Isa, the rune of stillness and stasis: the ice that holds things in place, suspended. Not frozen as punishment, but frozen as protection. Something in you learned that staying still was safer than moving toward what you actually want. The card you drew, the Four of Swords, says the same thing in its own language: rest that has stretched past rest into a kind of waiting. The reading ends not with what you should do, but with one question: what would you let yourself want, if wanting felt safe?
Before you book
Each reading is made for you by hand, and written for your question alone. You meet the work first through the free Essence, and we shape your question together before anything is read. You can cancel for a full refund any time before your cards are pulled; once they are pulled, the reading is being made for you and all sales are final. We cannot redo a reading or change what your chart says.

Inner Compass reading questions
What is a shadow work reading?
It is a reading that looks at the patterns underneath your circumstances, the parts of yourself you learned to push out of view, using astrology, runes, and Jungian psychology. Jung called this the shadow: not the dark side, but the unseen side. A shadow work reading names what is operating below the question you came with, so you can meet it with something more than avoidance.
What are runes used for in a reading?
Runes name the hidden forces: what is driving a situation when the surface explanation does not quite add up. Each rune in the Elder Futhark alphabet carries a meaning tied to a facet of human experience. In this reading, a rune is drawn specifically for the unseen layer of your question, and read alongside your chart and the cards. Not fortune-telling. A mirror held at a different angle.
Is this therapy?
No, and we are clear about that line. This is reflective guidance: a reading designed to help you see a pattern more clearly. It is not a substitute for therapy, counseling, or any professional mental health support. If something we read belongs in a therapist’s room, we will say so directly. The two can work alongside each other well. One is not a replacement for the other.
What if I already understand my patterns?
Understanding a pattern and being free of it are different things. Most people who book an Inner Compass reading already know something about what is underneath. What they want is to see it held up in a different frame, named in plain language, and handed back with something concrete to work with. Insight is the start, not the end. The reading does not stop at the name.
What if I don’t know my birth time?
That is fine. Without an exact time, the houses are less precise, but the core placements, Pluto, Chiron, the Moon’s sign, the hard aspects, still read clearly. The reading says so honestly and works with what is certain.
